In accordance with the times, villages/kelurahan are required to improve the quality of their bureaucratic system, namely to make it more concise and efficient. Based on this, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) initiated a new program to help villages/kelurahan to develop their bureaucratic system. The program is the Statistics Love Village (Desa Cantik). The Beautiful Village Program is in line with the spirit of one data Indonesia, namely realizing integrated planning, implementation, evaluation, and control of development. The Beautiful Village Program is one of the implementations of the Datu Data Indonesia Program. The Beautiful Village Program is a form of BPS responsibility in providing sectoral statistics development, as stated in Law No. 16/1997 on statistics. Development of sectoral statistics at the village/kelurahan level in a sustainable and comprehensive manner. This program has been implemented in 2021 and will be implemented again this year.

The Beautiful Village Program aims to increase literacy, awareness and the active role of village/kelurahan officials and the community in organizing statistical activities. Another objective is the Standardization of Statistical Data Management to maintain the quality and comparability of statistical indicators. The next goal is optimizing the use and utilization of statistical data so that development programs in villages/kelurahan. The final objective is to establish statistical agents at the village/kelurahan level. With Beautiful Village, the village is no longer the object of development, but is placed as the subject and spearhead of development in improving the welfare of the community.

Since the beginning of March 2022, the Beautiful Village Trustees of the BPS City of Bandung have made several visits to the Derwati Village office, Rancasari District, Bandung City to carry out discussions and statistical development carried out there. One of the results of the visit was the construction of a website by the Derwati village. Currently the website can be accessed by the public at the address https://www.derwatirumasa.com. Wesite consists of home days, services, profiles, LKK, and galleries. Home describes activities in Derwati village, profile describes Derwati village profile, services are services for the community, for example downloading forms, LKK describes institutions in the village, and a gallery that contains documentation of activities in Derwati village. This website will continue to be developed for the convenience of public access to information and services from the Derwati sub-district government.
In the future, BPS, through the Pembina Desa Cantik in Kelurahan Derwati, will create a program to develop Desa Cantik in Kelurahan Derwati with appropriate materials and collaborate with the City Government to strengthen statistics in Kelurahan Derwati. Through this Beautiful Village program, it is hoped that the community-based Derwati village information system will be optimized. The Beautiful Village Program is expected to increase the capacity of the Derwati village in identifying data needs and the potential of the Derwati village in order to support government programs. The success of the Beautiful Village program requires support from all parties, it is not enough from BPS as the leading sector in statistical development, but this program also needs support from the government from the central government, regional governments to village governments and the community. BPS Bandung City has high hopes for the success of this Beautiful Village program and in turn can contribute to development in Rancasari District in particular, Bandung City and also Indonesia in general. It's time for the village/kelurahan to dress up with the data and potential it has to become an enchanting Beautiful Village. Let's Succeed Beautiful Village.
