(22/12/2023) BPS Bandung City held a ceremony to commemorate the 95th Mother's Day with the theme "Empowered Women, Advanced Indonesia". In his remarks, the Head of BPS Bandung City, represented by the Head of General Subdivision, stated that the role of women is very important, including in the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). As a government agency that has duties and functions as a provider of official government statistical data, one of BPS' strengths is human resources (HR). BPS human resources currently total 17,555 people, and 46 percent of them are women. These statistics show that the contribution and active role of female employees in various activities, both at the technical and policy levels, are crucial in guarding and continuing to encourage BPS performance in producing quality statistics for the progress of the nation and state.

The important role of BPS female human resources is not only reflected in terms of quantity but also quality. Staffing data shows that the quality of BPS female human resources is the key to BPS' success in providing quality statistics so far. This shows that the quality of BPS women's human resources is quite good and the majority have an S1 education and above. This good quality of human resources is an important asset to continue to encourage the progress of BPS in the future. The optimal contribution of BPS female employees through various roles is the key in guarding BPS performance to support the progress of Indonesia through the provision of quality statistics.

Let us make the 95th Mother's Day Commemoration in 2023 a momentum for us to unite, build collective awareness, and encourage active participation of women in BPS and other aspects of life. Together, let us create a better and more advanced BPS to support Indonesia Emas 2045.
