Wednesday, August 28, 2024, BPS Bandung City held a Sectoral Statistics Development. This Sectoral Statistics Development is a process carried out by the Central Bureau of Statistics to improve the quality and reliability of sectoral statistical data. This activity aims to build and strengthen the National Statistics System (SSN) and to realize statistical activities that meet the principle of One Data Indonesia, which is accurate, up-to-date, integrated and accountable. Sectoral statistical data used to meet the needs of certain government agencies in the context of carrying out government duties in development. 


In this activity, the Secretary of Bandung City, Mr. Drs. Dharmawan, Head of Diskominfo Bandung City, Representatives from Bapelitbang Bandung City, Regional Apparatus Agencies and representatives from 30 sub-districts in Bandung City attended. In his speech, Mr. Dharmawan said that Sectoral Statistics Development is very important in building accurate and integrated data. Data is needed in policy making so that government programs can be right on target and according to needs. Statistics are a benchmark for government performance in government management. Continuous coaching is not only accurate but must also be relevant to be able to improve good policies.


Sectoral Statistics Coaching is very useful for each sector in formulating it can also be used to improve the literacy and understanding of data producers about the implementation of sectoral statistics, statistical metadata and recommendations for statistical activities and at the same time be a preparation for the Evaluation of the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics (EPSS) assessment.
