Abstract

In December 2024 there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Bandung Municipality of 1.61 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.59.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in eight expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.50 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.86 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.48 percent; the health group by 4.30 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.67 percent; the education group by 0.93 percent; the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 2.30 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 9.09 percent. Meanwhile, three expenditure groups experienced a decrease in the index, namely: the group of supplies, equipment and routine maintenance of households by 0.20 percent; the transportation group by 1.17 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.07 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate in Bandung Municipality in December 2024 amounted to 0.40 percent, while the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate amounted to 1.61 percent.
