The first ceremony in 2024 was held in zoom for BPS Regency / City work units. In his mandate, Mr. Sestama said, in carrying out its duties as a provider of quality statistical data, BPS must also continue to improve its services to meet public needs.

As an institution that has a core business that provides quality data for development, BPS must continue to strengthen the fulfillment of quality statistics that meet the 6 dimensions of quality data, namely statistical data that has relevance, accuracy, timeliness, accessibility, can be interpreted, and coherence, but it does not stop there, our efforts must also be focused on how the quality data that we produce is in accordance with the needs and can be easily accessed by the public and widely utilized to support evidence-based policy making.

In providing insight to support evidence-based policies, BPS must continue to make various strengthening efforts including:

Data collection activities are oriented towards meeting the needs of data users. This is done through optimizing the use of administrative data and big data, so that it does not only rely on traditional surveys and censuses.

Utilization of data to support decision making by the community, private sector, government based on facts.

Through these efforts, it is hoped that the quality of data insight and BPS statistical services can continue to be improved so that it can encourage the improvement of community welfare through quality government policies.
