Internalization of Regional Level Sectoral Statistics Development

On Tuesday, January 23 2024, the Head of Bandung City BPS and the Sectoral Statistics Development Team took part in the Internalization of Regional Level Sectoral Statistics Development activities via zoom meeting. This activity was opened by the Deputy for Methodology and Statistical Information, Imam Machdi. He provided guidance regarding the Evaluation of the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics. BPS's task in the National Statistics System is to create a reliable, effective and efficient SSN (National Statistics System); Realizing SDI (One Indonesian Data).

The relationship between PSS (Sectoral Statistics Development) and EPSS (Evaluation of Sectoral Statistics Implementation), namely

- Development of Sectoral Statistics is a "must" for BPS

- EPSS results are used as a reference in developing sectoral statistics so that they are more targeted

- Development of Sectoral Statistics and EPSS must be carried out jointly and continuously

- BPS Internal Governance needs to be built for Collaboration between the Development Team and EPSS to Achieve the Same Target

- Strengthening BPS HR Competence in conducting Sectoral Statistics Development and Evaluation

Development of Sectoral Statistics is one of the tasks of Provincial BPS and Regency/City BPS which is regulated by BPS Regulation no. 5 of 2023 concerning the Organization and Work Procedures of Provincial BPS and District/City BPS
