Preparation for Sectoral Statistics Development

On Thursday, 25 January 2024, BPS-Statistics of Bandung Municipality participated in a virtual meeting to listen the direction of the Chief Statistician of BPS of Jawa Barat Province related to the preparation of sectoral statistical guidance and preparation for the Evaluation of the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics (EPSS) 2024. The meeting was attended by the sectoral statistics development team in each city district in West Java.

In his direction, the Chief Statistician of BPS of Jawa Barat Province, Marsudijono said that the guidance of sectoral statistics is very important and BPS as the data supervisor needs to set strategies to improve the quality of sectoral statistics in each local government. Moreover, the results of recommendations on EPSS 2023 have been submitted and need to be followed up by BPS to conduct coaching in accordance with the priorities in the recommendations. In addition, Mr Yudi Purbosari as an intermediate expert statistician also provided direction related to EPSS 2024, including related to the criteria for selecting statistical activities that will be assessed, as well as related to the completeness of policy documents and implementation documents.
