Briefing on the Large and Medium Industry Survey (IBS) in 2024, BPS Bandung City

Friday (7/06/2024), BPS Bandung City held a briefing as well as an evaluation of the implementation of the annual Large and Medium Industry Survey (IBS) to field officers at the BPS Bandung City Hall. The 2024 annual IBS survey this time includes three types of surveys, namely updating the initial company directory (DPA), annual survey of manufacturing industry companies (STPIM) and commodity survey of manufacturing industry companies (SKPIM). The results of the Monthly Large and Medium Industry (IBS) survey are used to calculate the monthly production index. The index figure is used to see the rate of industrial growth, especially the manufacturing industry sector and as a basis for calculating Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

The IBS survey briefing event was opened by the Head of BPS Bandung City, Samiran S.Si, M.T, which was then followed by a presentation by Ida Nurchaida M.M as Head of Production Function. In addition to the presentation, the officers also actively discussed and shared their experiences when collecting IBS survey data in the field.
