Field Officer Training for Micro and Small Industry Survey (VIMK) Quarter III Year 2024

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Bandung City held training for prospective officers of the Micro and Small Industry Survey (VIMK) for the third quarter of 2024 on Monday (7/10/2024). This activity was held at the Bandung City BPS Hall attended by 22 PCLs from BPS Partners, 8 PMLs from organic BPS Bandung City. The training was guided by 2 Regional Instructors who came from organic BPS Bandung City, namely Harry Nurdyana Soleh, S.Si., M.E. (Technical) and Ugi Nujuprono, S.A.P (Processing).

This training aims to improve the quality and competence of officers in conducting the Micro and Small Industry Survey (VIMK) for the third quarter of 2024, which is the backbone of the regional economy. This survey will not only help the government in formulating policies, but also provide a real picture of the condition of micro and small industries in Bandung City. With accurate data, we can optimize the potential and support the growth of the Micro and Small Industry (VIMK) sector. This survey was conducted to obtain information on the development of processing industry production, especially micro and small scale industries, namely economic businesses that produce goods with a workforce of less than 20 people with a quarterly time reference.

A total of 219 business samples of the selected Micro and Small Industry sector (VIMK) will be monitored for production activities using the enumeration method using the Computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI) mode, namely with the FASIH application in the enumeration period from October 8 to October 18, 2024. The information obtained will then be calculated to obtain the production index.

With this training, BPS Bandung City hopes to produce survey officers who are reliable and ready to carry out their duties well, and produce accurate data to support the development of micro and small industries in the Bandung City area. This activity is an important step in strengthening the statistical database that will be used to support better and sustainable development policies in Bandung City.
