FGD “Global Economic Challenges and the Impact of Trump's Tariff Policy on the Bandung City Economy

Thursday, (24/04/2025) Head of BPS Bandung City, Samiran participated in the Focus Group Discussion “Global Economic Challenges and the Impact of Trump Tariff Policy on the Bandung City Economy”. The FGD activity was organized by the Regional Secretary of Bandung City which took place at Arion Suites Hotel Bandung. The FGD was held as an initial step to mitigate the impact of the US import tariff increase policy.
The policy is feared to have a broad impact on the industrial sector, especially in the city of Bandung. Some of Bandung City's mainstay commodities exported to the United States are Textiles and Textile Support in the form of Clothing (knitted and non-knitted) and alaskaki accessories, as well as jewelry.
